Marwell hotel is a great venue to have your whole day in one place, whether you have 40 or 140 at your wedding, it is very convenient. I have to say though, our buildup to the big day was spoilt by uninterested staff! We were quoted a discount for a room if we chose to stay on the night of the wedding and our guests were offered this discount too. When one of our guests called to book they were quoted a price that was more expensive than advertised on the internet. When we queried this, it was reduced but not really the point as it shouldn't have happened! As we got to just 14 days before the day, we were having to chase the hotel for our final bill...we wanted to get everything paid and finalized in the hectic run up to the day. We felt that we were just a number and another wedding in a long line of them, there was never any personal attention or made to feel special. It was a real shame
