Haley's is a great little hotel in the quiet back streets of Headingley, about 3 miles from Leeds City Centre.
We loved the hotel and chose it for our wedding in October 2008. We paid to have the whole hotel for the weekend and met with them several times before the big day.
Haley's turned out to be a big mistake as it was badly managed and staffed, despite reassurances beforehand that we had no need to worry.
Our guests were given different prices and confused information when making their bookings; on the day we didn't receive some of the things we had paid for in advance; we were kept waiting for a long time before the meal was ready; they put only 1 member of staff on to mann the reception desk and bar through the night despite us requesting more, only 1 member of staff was available to handle breakfast leaving my partner and I to clear tables the day after our wedding to make sure our guests had somewhere to sit, and to top it all off they withdrew £500 from our credit card while we were on honeymoon without our consent. We owed about half this amount and ended up paying for items we'd either already paid for, or not received.
Try as we might we have been unable to get this back from the hotel so I would warn all to steer clear of them, especially for weddings. A shame as it is a lovely looking place.
