Wow, what can we say?! We got married at Highgate House on 19th September 2008 and without a doubt it was the best day of our lives! When we started planning our wedding we were looking for a one-stop place as we've always hated that extra pressure for guests who aren't from the local area trying to get themselves from the wedding to the reception venues. Also, what was important to us was accommedation as our guests all had to travel to attend. Highgate House fitted the bill perfectly! The house, the grounds, the excellent standard of rooms, the mouthwatering and plentiful food and most importantly the staff were all wonderful. We worked closely with Nina Fletcher, who held our hands day and night as we choose our suppliers (most of whom we were introduced to at the fabulous wedding fayers held at Highgate) and Nina helped us or sort out the silly little things like running order of the day, who to sit where and made sure that we were happy that our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be! On the day we had the very patient Gemma who made sure everyone was where they were supposted to be and generally kept the day on track - taking the pressure of us so we could just relax and enjoy our day with everyone else. We know that our guests enjoyed themselves too as they are still talking about it!
We can't praise Highgate House enough and we're planning on revisiting for our anniversary!
