Our family have been long term members of Wentworth which was one of the reasons for choosing the Club for our big day.
Our planning was done with the help of the incredible Rebecca Ellis. She was efficient, friendly and fantastic! She understood every query and went out of her way to help us in any way she could, whether it be staying late for our meeting to accommodate our own work restrictions, or arranging our tasting to fit in with our parents’ schedules, or even arranging for our parents’ request for the Cockney ‘delicacy’ of Jellied Eels, nothing threw her!
On our actual wedding day we were looked after by the amazing Kenan Davies. He was incredible, nothing was too much trouble, even when we had one extra guest turn up unexpectedly!
The food itself at Wentworth was 2nd to none, and we have incredibly high standards. We opted for 2 different starters, a combination of salmon assiette (trio of smoked salmon) for the fish lovers and Meat Antipasti for the carnivores amongst us. Wentworth was taken over approx. 2 years ago by the same group that own the famous Ivy restaurant, and their reputation of excellent food was certainly well earned. Every morsel was delicious. Main course was a choice of Sea bass or Fillet Steak. Both once again a gourmet delight!
For desert, we opted for sticky treacle pudding with honeycombed ice cream. It was heaven. Followed by coffee and iced pralines served in a bowl with billowing Harry Potteresque dried ice which gave the whole room such an incredibly magical feel. Wow! What a dinner!
All in all, Wentworth Club should be extremely proud of their terrific team. It appears that the whole team are committed to excellence in customer service and alwa**trive to go the extra mile. We recommend any couple looking for the perfect venue for their special day to consider Wentworth. It really made our dreams come true.
