Me and my husband had our ceremoney, wedding breakfast and night do at the Craiglands in July 2008 and the hotel could not be faulted. The grounds are lovely for photographs, the staff are professional and were very helpful (all the way through the planning stages and on the day), the food was wonderful - it was such a relief on the day to know we were in safe hands after the months of planning.

We had the restaurant room (or the beautiful moor side as described on this website) which was just the right size for us. It felt light and spacious but still intimate enough for our guests. Also the decor just makes it feel that bit more glamourous and posh.

The honeymoon suite is also wonderful - with a jacuzzi in the bathroom, separate getting ready room and lovely bedroom with a gorgeous bay window (we got some wonderful pre wedding pics of me the bride)

All in all I would highly recommend this hotel for your wedding. Even after all the millions of thank yous, I don't think the staff and hotel realise what a perfect day they made it!

From the moment we first saw the Ballroom we knew it was the right venue for our wedding. The wedding co-ordinator and whole team of friendly staff helped to make our dream become a reality. The day went so smoothly, thanks to their organisation and hard work. The venue and gardens were beautiful (despite the damp weather we had!) and the food was magnificant. Our guests all commented on how wonderful their meal was, despite catering for so many, every dish came out perfect! We have no hesitation in recommmending it to everyone who is planning their wedding!

We got married at The Craiglands in August 08. The grounds and decor inside the hotel were what attracted us to the venue, perfect for photos regardless of weather! The wedding planner was very helpful and kept in regular contact in the run up to the wedding, she even sourced all my decorations and helped with music for during the ceremony as well as allowing me to decorate my own tables the night before and have several run throughs of the ceremony! On the day all staff were very accomodating and fulfilled all requests at a moments notice. The weather was fantastic and as a result we have amazing photos! We felt like the wedding planner really got 'stuck into' helping us and we thank her for that!

We had a very good experience with The Craiglands. All our questions and requests were dealt with very professionally and we were made to feel very valued as customers. The food in particular was very good. A full meal was available for us to taste our selections as a complimentary extra and that really put our minds are rest. The bridal suite had been newly renovated and the room is fantastic, with a huge bay window giving views right across the valley to the North. The gardens are extensive and provided a really good backdrop for our photos. All our guests had a great time. I would not hesitate to recommend The Craiglands as a wedding venue.
