We got married at the RSA this month and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Events manager Toni Gibbs was incredibly helpful in advance and perfectly organised on the day - we were working on a relatively modest budget for a London wedding and she even suggested several ways we could save money.
The venue itself is beautiful - we married in the brick-lined underground vaults and had dinner in the Benjamin Franklin room. Both these spaces need little dressing-up - we got by with one pedestal flower arrangement and lots of white fairy lights.
If you want a modern, elegant wedding in central London, then the RSA should suit you well!
we can't recommend the venue strongly enough-the vaults have plenty of character, its very central which was great for our guests, capacity to fit our 160 guests- Toni Gibbs was excellent and they were very accommodating.
We would absolutely recommend RSA House to anyone. Plus all our guests seemed to confirm that they thought it was a fabulous venue. We got married in December and in the late afternoon, which is when I think the venue is probably at its best.
We were really struggling to find somewhere that would (1) meet our expectations for somewhere with enough character and history, (2) was in our budget, (3) could take enough people (we had around 80).
We were really impressed with the RSA right from our first visit. They were always attentive to what we wanted, were always calm and on top of requests and dealing with the photographer, DJ, etc. - which is really important when you need to be worrying about other things. Toni Gibbs took care of us and was wonderful - we cannot thank her enough. There are a number of different rooms available - and the vaults are very atmospheric. The food - which their chefs provide - was really top notch. They run a very upmarket and professional operation.
We would fully recommend the RSA for a truly beautiful and memorable day. Vaults were amazing and atmospheric for the ceremony and the Benjamin Franklin Room was lovely, especially when filled with bright flowers, for the wedding breakfast. Very flexible space with Embankment Gardens just down the road for lovely outside photos. Very interesting venue, and really good value for money. Staff wonderful. Everyone has commented on what an amazing day it was and how it could not have been more perfect. Definitely go and see it as the photos do not capture everything about it. We fell in love with it as soon as we saw the vaults. Also would recommend Chris Renton for the photos, he knows the venue and our photos are truly gorgeous. Good luck with your planning!
