Just got married at Hestercombe Gardens on 26th November 2011. It was the best day of my life - all thanks to Julie White (the wedding co-ordinator) and her lovely staff.
The grounds and rooms available at Hestercombe are stunning - we got married in the orangery with a beautiful log fire,lots of candles and white roses as decoration, and 8 orange trees of course (all in bloom and smelling divine)! As the weather was cold it was straight on to the Barn - a newly refurbished gorgeous building - where delicious hot mulled cider, sausage rolls and mini scones awaited us. My husband and I had our photos taken throughout the beautiful gardens - with so many features such as lovely waterfalls, fountains, landscaped gardens and amazing views as our backdrop - and also in the orangery in front of the fire - magnificent!!
Our wedding breakfast took place in the beautiful Bampfylde Hall. The staff had laid the tables so well and had thoughtfully added extra details such as more candles and lighting around the bar. The lovely and helpful staff served wine and the most amazing food all evening. Every course was stunningly presented and tasted delicious! We had lots of comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the food.
Julie and her team deserve high praise indeed, as every detail was thought of, well planned in advance and nothing was too much to ask. I had a wonderful day just knowing that Julie and her wonderful team were there waiting to solve any problem! Hestercombe gardens is the perfect place to have a wedding - summer or winter - with so many beautiful gardens and buildings. The best day ever!!
From the outset the staff were welcoming and helpful. No pressure, just amazing information. The Gardens are exquisite, romantic, surprising, grand. The food is quite honestly fantastic! The care and attention to detail extraordingary. Our day was literally a dream come true!
