We have just had our daughters wedding reception at Wokefield Park in the Mansion House. There are three parts to Wokefield Park. The executive suite has many rooms and is mainly used for conferences as it has all the facilities. The Lodge is a separate building with lovely rooms and the Mansion House is the original building which has been extended and has beautiful contemporary rooms as well as more traditional rooms.Wedding functions are held in the Mansion House and the wedding planner, Sam has endless patience. The Manager , Wedding planner and Restaurant Manager worked together as a close team to make our day run so smoothly to take all the stress away. The restaurant team were wonderful -the food was good and the staff friendly and nothing was too much trouble
.I have read many reviews with varied reports. I can only say the Mansion House was great for us. We have stayed in many good hotels and know what we expect. Our daughter and son-in -law have stayed in the Berg Al Arab and they were very happy with their choice of the Mansion House.

We visited Wokefiled Park twice, and found the staff very helpful and flexible. Wokefield was our number one choice, but we had a couple of concerns:-
- we felt that the main suite might be a little too large for our wedding party
- we couldn't get a church near enough to agree to marry us
The venue that we have picked is slightly smaller, and the local church and vicar - delightful.
Both Wokefield and the venue we eventually chose had exclusivity, and rooms on site - both important considerations. We think that Wokefield would be a fantastic location, although maybe better in Summer - our wedding is planned in November - to take accound of the stunning views - and make use of the fantastic terrace. Else - price, quality, flexibility - all were excellent.
