When I first visited Halswell House it was filled with decorators, had no furniture, it was pouring with rain and freezing cold. It was due to open in the next few weeks and despite all of the above you could see immediately it was going to be an amazing venue. We were lucky enough to book our preferred date and never looked back.
On the morning of our wedding, it was beautiful sunshine, driving up the long drive literally took my breath away, it was beautiful. I got ready with my bridesmaids in the Bridal suite as opposed to the Boudoir room as it had the most spectacular view of all your guests arriving. The registrar was lovely and paid attention to detail like asking me who I would like to pull my veil back for me and then arranged the ceremony so my new husband could do this just like I had always wanted. The food was amazing, Hallett and Hay caterers are very very good. The flowers were more than I ever dreamed of, Nicky Llewellyn said they would be good but they were spectacular. The band Pondlife was flawless and played Chasing cars for me as our last song despite the fact that they had played it already but i had missed it!! Our photographer was Emily Quinton and I can not speak more highly of her. It was more like having a friend at your wedding than a photographer and the results are perfect. The day ran absolutely perfectly and the guests raved about the beauty of the venue throughout. The rooms were made up to a very high standard and Halswell even added more beds for us so we could have more people to stay. The breakfast the next morning was again outstanding and the perfect end to the wedding celebrations. I can't believe it is all over but if I remain half as happy as I was on that day for the rest of my life I am a very very lucky girl. It truely was the day that childhood dreams are made of. Thank you.
Admin: Wow, sounds fantastic. Almost makes me want to get married again! Or certainly be a guest at the next wedding.
Congratulations Heather.
