I attended a beautiful wedding at the Caverswall Castle. It's a picturesque location for a small wedding - especially if guests are from out of town. It was great fun to all stay together within the Castle. However, the Castle is not without its drawbacks. I found that the staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. And as for those beautiful baths - the Castle's plumbing is not up to the task. We couldn't get hot water in the sink much less fill the bath. Very disappointing.
Caverswall castle is not really a wedding venue its just a really nice home. All the rooms inside are far too small and the room or 'rooms' used to have the wedding breakfast in are far too small, infact they expect you to hold your wedding breakfast in three different rooms, splitting guests up with access into each room through little arch ways. The castle itself is lovely and decorated to a very high standard but the room sizes make it unplausable as a wedding venue. Plus the outside surroundings are not very pictuesque for photographs. And the cost to hire it out is ridiculous especially when you look at what places like Peckforton Castle charge, a much bigger, better venue.
