If you are planning a small, intimate wedding ceremony and are looking for something entirely different, then this is the venue for you. Our daughter had her wedding here on 6th September 2008 and despite the downpour just at the crucial moment, everyone had a brilliant time. The rain stopped as we came out of the Swiss Cottage and we went outside for our photographs. There are so many places to have them - under the trees, in front of the Cottage, by the river running through the garden etc. A peacock came and investigated our group, just to add some colour.
We had laid on refreshments for our guests while the bride and groom were taken off round the gardens by the photographer for yet more photos. Make sure you don't miss the opportunity to go down into the Grotto, which was also opened up. Two hours is not nearly enough!! |
