A joint wedding and 40th birthday celebration? A venue that's classy but not pretentious? A special day with style and flair but a relaxed and informal atmosphere. What venue would ever meet these needs? The City Rooms.
From the outset our contact, Vicky, spent time with us to ensure she understood exactly what we were trying to achieve. It was a breath of fresh air to not be 'encouraged' to choose from a venues standard wedding package and to have somebody say 'yes, we can do that' to what we wanted. Vicky also gave us lots of ideas, guidance and food for thought, based on her knowledge and experience which was invaluable in ensuring the day went perfectly and helping us to add those extra special touches.
The day arrived and the venue looked amazing. All of the staff, without exception, couldn't do enough to please all our guests and went the extra mile to ensure everyone's needs were met and the food was fabulous, just what we wanted.
It was a perfect day in a perfect setting at a perfect venue. Our friends and family still talk about what a fantastic day it was with one commenting that 'the whole day was the absolute essence of you guys'.
