We got married on 15th May 2010. We had started to look at venues online at the beginning of 2009, but The Three Tuns was the first venue we looked at in person. We were really impressed and fell in love with it straight away, especially as it is near Canterbury and that is where we met and fell in love at university! We didn't have to think for long before we decided on this as our wedding venue!!

The staff at The Three Tuns made the planning process for us so easy and fun. Steve and Donna were lovely, and really knew what they were talking about when they were advising us of various things and giving us ideas. We were welcome to visit at any time to chat to them, and they were always listened to us. We thought this part was important as it was our wedding, and never once did they impose any of their ideas on us. One of our favourite parts of the planning process was the food tasting - the food was amazing!! We were able to give our opinions about how we wanted things cooked, which were listened to.

When it came to the wedding day itself the staff were very helpful and didn't get in our way - there was a lot to do and think about as we were very stressed! They set out the tables exactly as we had asked them, which took away a lot of stress from us. They were friendly and polite and made the day run very smoothly. When I was nearly 40 minutes late for the ceremony because we were having trouble doing up my dress, they didn't try to hurry me along. They kept everyone waiting well informed.

The rooms are lovely, especially the bridal suite. They were clean and tidy and had everything you needed. We had our family and friends stay in the inn and the lodge outside, and everyone seemed really happy with the accommodation.

We recently got married at The Three Tuns, Staple and had a day that was everything we had hoped it would be; relaxed, laid back, country style wedding. We were lucky enough to have the weather to be able to get married in the garden and it looked just gorgeous.
Steve and Donna and staff were extremely helpful during the planning of the wedding, particularly since we live overseas and most of the planning was done via email. They answered all my many questions pretty quickly and gave us the impression they knew exactly what they were doing, which was proven on the day. The day ran smoothly and without a hitch, the food was excellent, the staff were hardworking, friendly and attentive. All in all a perfect day.

We got married on 31/10/10 and Donna, Steve (the Landlords) and all the staff were absolutely amazing. They were so accommodating letting us decorate the pub with loads of Halloween decs and pumpkins. We booked all the rooms for our guests and then all had breakfast together the next morning. Donna and Steve's help and input in the planning and then on the day itself were invaluable. The food was fantastic (including pumpkin soup to keep with the theme of the day!) and our guests commented on the great food, venue and service. We can't fault this venue in any way and highly recommed it for your wedding. A perfect start for our new life together!

We recently got married at The Three Tuns in Staple. The whole day was absolutely perfect and ran without a hitch. The food is fantastic and so many of our guests said that it was one of the best meals they had ever had at a wedding. We felt very confident in Steve and Donna creating the relaxed atmosphere that we had always wanted for our special day.
It was a nice touch for us to have the day 'split in two' by having our wedding breakfast in the homely inn and then having a real party in the marquee in the evening. All these factors contributed to us having the best wedding day we could ever have hoped for. We would definitely recommend the venue for any wedding but also for a place to enjoy a meal out with friends and family. Thank you Steve and Donna!

The perfect venue for a wedding ceremony and reception in one place and several rooms for wedding party to stay overnight. Lovely country setting and old country inn.

We would like to thank Donna and Steve and their team for their hard work in organising the day and ensuring it went so smoothly. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. Steve was an excellent informal toast master who helped keep the day on track.

Many guests have complimented the excellent food and service, it was not only delicious, it was all served hot and everyone was served at the same time. It was the same excellent quality for 50 guests as it was when we visited as a group of 5 people a few weeks before on a Saturday night.

The DJ recommended and organised by Steve was very good and catered for all our needs.

We will definitely be coming back. We would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Hiya,

Thank you so much for such a wonderful day, so many of our guests commented on how lovely the Three Tuns is and some said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to!

Everyone loved the food, and are still going on about how tasty the hog roast was! Steve, you did a brilliant job as toastmaster, one of my friends has even put a picture of you on Facebook!

Thanks to you all for a truly amazing day, one that we will never forget!

Ten family members crossed the country to Kent for a wedding. Ranging in age from 10 to 90, we arrived on the morning of the wedding for an early check in to our rooms. Staff were helpful, courteous and friendly. The hotel is in a quiet village a short drive from Canterbury. The wedding took place in a lovely garden, and in a marquee. The actual hotel has wonderful rooms combining historic charm with modern facilities. The food was excellent, the manager did a great job keeping things moving while never being intrusive, the marquee had full facilities but the hotel bar (good sized with additional dining rooms off ) was also open for regulars. (Not being a disco person I sloped off to read the paper by the fire, and have a cup of tea, until I was accused of party p***ing!) It was a great family event, everyone enjoyed themselves. Even the breakfasts were good the following morning. As an appropriate setting for a wedding I can't recommend it enough.

August 2009

As Mother of the Bride i wanted perfection but didn't expect to find it
But I did !!!
We were booked at another venue. and with only weeks to go they cancelled on us.
We didn't think we had a hope of rearranging elsewhere
We found The Three Tunns this beautiful country Inn, but didn't think it could happen
But with expert juggling by Steve and Donna they managed it
One week later than our original date we got everything we wanted, the time, the setting, the delicious Hog Roast, the guest rooms, the horses and carriage..., everything
Steve was on hand throughout with helpful hints and tips, that may well have been overlooked,. helping to make everything less stressful and more enjoyable for me
Each and every member of the team are wonderful professional friendly people
they made us feel part of the family, and very special
Donna even lent me her silver salvers to take home the leftover buffet!!!!
And when my Daughter hugged me and said " Mum its a million times better than i thought it ever could be "
that was the icing on the cake . What Mum could ask for more.
Thank you Steve Donna and the team very very much

I recommend The Three Tuns very highly weither its for a wedding, a function,a meal or even for a quiet drink in a verly lovely country Inn
