I seriously hope after reading this review you will choose The Parkway Inn, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen for your wedding venue.
We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Parkway Inn on the 1st April 2011.
Initially we spoke to Martin Young who went over the wide choice of wedding packages they supply. We went for the Silver package with a few extra's added to it and some taken away, which we found extremely beneficial and a welcome break from having a limited choice as to what can be provided as well as at a very realistic cost.
We enjoyed a taster of the food we requested for the wedding meal, weeks before the event and were highly impressed with the food and then the attention to detail at our second meeting with Martin afterwards.
We also spoke and met with Laura, the wedding co-ordinator, who was extremely helpful and professional. We discussed what we wanted on the day and no detail was too much to bother with, even a last minute (on the morning)change to a couple of menu choices was catered for by the chef.
The Parkway arranged the Photographer, Flowers, Cars, table settings and Disco, we were surprised when we turned up on the day to find little touches that we had forgotten all about. And because everything was taken care of by this extremely professional team we didn't have to worry about a thing. [fantastic].
On the day we were treated like royalty (and not just the wedding party but all the guests). James the co-ordinator was everywhere making sure everyone had what they needed-wanted, when they wanted it. Laura was steering everybody to the right place at the right time and it all went like clockwork.
The reception went brilliantly, the table and then bar service was second to none, all our guests have commented on the good prices as well as the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and how the evening flew past, they wished for longer.
We thoroughly recommend to anyone who wants a professional and well organised event they can do no better than the Parkway.
.... that if your are lost and looking for inspiration then go to the Parkway, Martin and Laura who plan all the weddings are fantastic. Our wedding went like a dream. We took a package and the photographer and florist that They have in the restaurant were great. Both Martin the owner and John the photograher made us laugh so much. Very memorable.
We were both astounded by the food and how fresh it was. My friend had a wedding at one of the wedding hotels in Aberdeen and the food looked and tasted reheated. I was much more impressed with our food.
Great Prices
Fabliss Food
Great Service
And the whole place looked brilliant
We went with little or no expectation to the wedding veiwing and came away convinced. The Manager Martin was a complete professional and put us at total ease with everything.
We didn't think we were going to get the deal that we did... Martin, Tracey and their team of little workers did us proud!
The whole day was fab and beyond our expectations. The special touches they offer is without a doubt above and beyond. Our friends daughter spilt juice all over herself and Martin even went out and bought her a new dress, what a guy!
Then there was the food, well it was amazing....... TOTALLY! We tasted food in the other hotels and places in Aberdeen and The Parkway was up the top for quality and less than half the price!
