Dear Zubair Aziz

I thought I must drop you a quick note of appreciation for hosting my daughter's wedding reception. The day went very well and the weather broke at just the right time. Haslington Hall definitely had the wow factor and the guests appreciated the backdrop of the Hall and the space in the grounds. How beautiful the photgraphs will look with that stunning background! The way the marquee was laid out made a fantastic impression. Please thank the bar and breakfast staff for me, for their hard work and also their friendly and welcoming approach to things. Sarah and Daniel have since commented that they had the perfect day and would like to thank everyone involved for making it the best day of their lives. We have also had many comments, and thank you cards, from guests who have expressed how much they enjoyed the whole day.

Hello all, Firstly apologies for not getting in touch with you all sooner but we have only just returned from our honeymoon - which by the way was the holiday of a lifetime! I really don''t know where to start in terms of thanking you all for everything:- Stefan and Zubair, from meeting you both on day one, Mike and I were confident we would be very well looked after and you didn''t let us down! Jen, thanks again for working with me to organise everything from the start to all the final little details and Emma for stepping in whilst Jen was away - and to everyone else who played a huge part in planning for our wedding day. We simply had the best time ever. I can honestly say that since we have been back and have caught up with all the people who came, we have had nothing but major compliments for DGH. People were amazed by the venue itself, the food was excellent and the service of which was also first class. All of the staff couldn''t do enough for us and our guests, and there was alwa**omeone at hand when needed. The food in the evening was also fantastic and so many people have asked if I can get hold of the recipe for the curry, it went down a treat! I could go on and on about everything you did for us that made our wedding day really very special and one we will look back on with very fond memories. WE CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH! Looking back we are also grateful for the fact that we didn''t have an ''open bar'' as otherwise I think we''d be in some major debt now!! We would like to personally thank the staff at Haslington Hall for making our wedding day a very special and memorable occasion. From the moment that I saw Haslington Hall I knew that I had found the perfect venue for our wedding. I could not imagine that any other place would have been as accommodating, luxurious and welcoming. The attention to detail on the day was impeccable and we cannot thank the staff enough for all their efforts in ensuring our big day ran smoothly. We would also like to thank your Chef for a delicious meal. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the wedding breakfast. The cold buffet provided for our Reception guests was exceptional also. The bar staff keeping the wine and champagne flowing and the house keepers ensuring the fires were lit just added to an all round outstanding service. Our guests were so impressed with the Hall and the service that on more than one occasion we were told that it was the best wedding they had ever been to!

Overall Our overall opinion and all of our guest’s overall opinion of the venue and service that we received throughout the day was that it was out of this world! Everything about the day went like clockwork and was absolute perfection from the time that we arrived on the Saturday to the time we left on the Sunday. I would like to finish by again reiterating my great thanks to Zubair; Jo; Harry; John and all of the staff at Haslington for making our wedding day totally perfect, in our opinion they clearly have a 5 star wedding venue that will not be outdone by any venue in the country! The Food I am running out of superlatives to describe the place, but the food is simply in a different league. The wedding breakfast was out of this world, I have never tasted food as good. For the evening snacks we has mini fish and chips; burgers & bacon sandwiches, all of which were excellent and again were served to our guests by waiters, not buffet style. Finally, for the food is the complimentary breakfast that you receive for all of your guests staying at the Hall and the Lodge, this was a full English breakfast, cereal and toast to start and then a full English with all the trimmings, again excellent quality. Overall, the food for our whole wedding was totally faultless. The Service Above, I have commented that the food was exceptional and out of this world, however the service that we received from all staff was even better!!! The service started before our big day, firstly starting with Zubair - he was totally honest with us and catered for our every need, everything we wanted, he sorted. Towards the end of the preparations, Zubair handed over the final planning to Jo, as she would be over seeing our big day in person. Jo was exceptional in every way, she was so thorough in everything she did and made sure that she was aware of every little detail – nothing was too much trouble! On the day, everything went like clockwork, for this I feel that I much give a big thanks to not only Jo, but also to Harry the banquet manager on the day, who was excellent like every other member of staff. On the day, absolutely nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, they were all first class.
