We were married in April this year (2009) and were looking for a venue that provided a character setting with good value for money; so many places we looked at charged a fortune just for the venue alone! Having your reception at an external venue is never going to be cheap these days but RHUL surpassed our expectation. We had a fantastic day in the Founders Dining Hall with a reception for 123. Nothing was too much for the coordinating team and we were fairly demanding in what we wanted. From the first meeting there was always help on hand to guide you through the preparations including menu tastings and advice for external suppliers such as chair covers and additional lighting etc. The staff team on the day were faultless. Their flexibility and attention to detail ensured all our guests were made to feel really 'at home'. Our meal was delicious with wines to complement. A big plus was the availability of bed and breakfast accommodation on site, not only in the Hub but also student rooms, all more than adequate (it helped booking our wedding out of term time). Many of our guests availed themselves of this excellent facility and were hugely complementary about the day. All in all a fantastic day which went without a hitch, much due to the efforts of the staff at RHUL. Strongly recommended! Thank you RHUL!
