NEWS, NEWS!!! Marry in the Maze: a change in the law means you can get married outdoors between April and October, weather permitting, and only need to sign the legal bit indoors. At Combermere make your wedding A-Mazing!! you can get married in our wonderful Fruit Tree Maze - the only one in the world!!!
Combermere Abbey is an historic estate on the Shropshire/Cheshire borders offering weddings and civil cermonies in The Glasshouse and receptions and wedding breakfasts in the adjacent Walled Garden Pavilion.
Weddings at Combermere are exclusive and private and offer excellent service in outstanding surroundings.
The elegant fan shaped Glasshouse is full of style and drama and sits at the heart of the Fruit Tree Maze surrounded by beautiful Walled Gardens. With 180 degree views of the gardens, this light and airy room seats up to 120 for a ceremony and reception drinks. The Glasshouse is set up with chairs and tables and has toilets, catering kitchen and bridal dressing room.
Winter Weddings: The Glasshouse is perfect for winter weddings celebrated with small intimate groups of friends and family.
The Walled Garden Pavilion - our fabulous new reception and dining space for up to 150, is available between 1st March and 31st December. This beautiful semi-permanant structure is fully equipped with lighting, carpets, tables, chairs, bar, dance floor, toilets and catering facilities. The Pavilion is not available during January and February.
. Our nominated caterer specializes in an excellent range of menus and budgets, and uses local foods as well as other services.
. Our nominated Bar and Beverage company includes a variety of Combermere inspired non-alcoholic drinks.
• Our dedicated ‘Front of House Manager’ will be on duty throughout the wedding to take care of the details, and there is private parking on site.
• 5* Accommodation on site for up to 49 family and friends is available in our 5* cottages. A 2 night package includes breakfast hampers and maid service. Additional accommodation is available 4 miles away.
• A dedicated bridal hideaway can be rented by the honeymoon couple – a romantic C19 Gothic Lodge on the estate, complete with breakfast hamper and champagne for their bridal night.
