Steeped in history - from evidence of a medieval hostelry beneath the foundations to the stonework 'borrowed' from the ruins of Byland Abbey, the Abbey Inn has been restored from its origins as a farm house. The Inn was fully refurbished in 2008, with new furnishings chosen to create an authentic period appeal of warmth and originality mixed with modern facilities. The majestic ruins of Byland Abbey together with the Inn are tucked away at at the foot of the Hambleton Hills and beautiful open countryside. Dine in style in our award winning restaurant or celebrate in a marquee set in the dramatic ruins of Byland.
