Located on the beautiful South Wales coastline, St Donat's Castle is the perfect venue for your special day and is just a 40 minute drive from central Cardiff.
St Donat's Castle was once the home of the American newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst and played host to many Hollywood stars of the day. Now home to an international sixth form college, the castle is available for weddings between the end of May and the end of September each year.
To ensure exclusivity, we only take one wedding per day with the romantic castle and gardens hired on a midday to midnight basis.
Venue hire includes use of the Bradenstoke Hall, Rose, Blue and Beast gardens, Top Lawn (with sea views), Inner Courtyard, Great Hall and a designated changing room on the day of the wedding.
The Bradenstoke Hall can accommodate 165 guests for a wedding breakfast and 200 guests for an evening party. In addition to the castle rooms there is also space in the extensive grounds for a marquee seating up to 400.
And if you wish to get married at St Donat’s Castle, several of its rooms and gardens are licensed for wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships.
