Venue description
The Assembly Rooms is one of Bath’s most prestigious addresses and has been at the heart of the city’s social life since the 18th century. All rooms are entered via a grand foyer, its red carpeted aisle making a fitting entrance for any bride.
At the Assembly Rooms, the wedding party can move seamlessly from room to room throughout the day. With up to 120 guests, you could have a civil ceremony in the beautiful Octagon followed by reception drinks in the Card Room, where there is access to a small Georgian garden. The Tea Room, with its Whitefriars crystal chandeliers and elegant pillars, is perfect for a seated wedding breakfast and dancing.
If your numbers are greater than 120, you could have a civil ceremony in the Tea Room and a reception in the stunning Ball Room, which can accommodate up to 280.
The Fashion Museum, based on the lower ground floor, can make an inspiring venue for a drinks reception and is available from 6.30pm.
The Assembly rooms are available all day with the exception of August, when the rooms may be hired from 5pm.
‘This was a fabulous venue and made it such a special day for us…thank you so much’ Amanda Byrd, 2010
