This weeks new venues include some beautiful period properties from around the country. If you’ve got grand designs for your wedding day, take a look at some of these very special buildings brimming with period charm and style, perfect for a wedding day to remember.

Cliveden House in Berkshire, set in 376 acres of National Trust parkland overlooking the River Thames. There’s a sumptuous French Dining Room, with stunning gilt work, and a darling little secluded cottage snuggled in the grounds for a romantic hideaway.


Groombridge Place Gardens and Enchanted Forest in Tunbridge Wells is brimming with romantic features within it’s many herbaceous borders, and the interiors boast a Baronial Hall and a Minstrels Gallery for music and merriment.


Ripley Castle in Harrogate on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park , and was one of the first castles in England to be granted a civil wedding license. It’s also family owned, and silver winner of the Enjoy England Awards for Excellence in 2010. Home to a long gallery and 16th century oak panelled library in which to hold your ceremony, with a lake and deer park within the pretty grounds for welcome drinks and photos.


The Council House in Bristol can be found curving around Park Street in the heart of Bristol, with plenty of space for your ceremony and celebrations, and impressive painted ceilings and warm wooden floors throughout it’s historical walls.
