Our new blog & Facebook

It’s customary for web sites to have a blog these days, so it’s time we introduced one. We’ll keep you up to date on developments at WeddingVenues.com, any other projects we have on the go, news and trends in the weddings arena and any other bits and bobs that might be interesting. In any of this sparks a question or comment please mail us. We’d be glad to hear from you.

And speaking of developments to the site, here’s a nice little addition. You can now let your facebook friends and family know exactly which venues you are interested in getting married. Just click on the facebook icon on any of the listings on the site and you can add them to your wall with a picture, link and description added automatically. Magic.

We started WeddingVenues.com back in 2002 and weren’t at all sure we could make a go of it. Seven years later, the site goes from strength to strength and the wedding  business shows few signs of recession. Our traffic is at an all time high (last month we had 145,000 visitors and 1.3 million page views) and more and more venues are taking our free trial. We’re confident we’ll be here in another seven years.
