One of Britains favourite heritage sites, and famous for it’s undulating dales and vales, and hearty tea drinking, this month, WeddingVenues.com is delighted to welcome four new members from historical Yorkshire.
The absolutely beautiful 12th century medieval Gatehouse at Kirkstall Abbey set by the River Aire, with it’s atmospheric Cistercian arches, gothic windows and pretty gardens, now offers fabulous modern dining for the discerning wedding party.

Another historical venue with a wonderful interior is The Tiled Hall at Leeds Art Gallery. Following a major renovation in 2007, this is a real Victorian gem. And tiled it is – from floor to ceiling with breathtaking ornately patterned ceramics.

Another Victorian classic, the Grade II listed 3 Albion Place in Leeds central, with plenty of tasteful charm, makes a lovely grand house to entertain your wedding guests.

And new to open this summer is Raithwaite Hall in Whitby. This brand new hotel will have just the right measure of luxury and comfort, with it’s own spa for those that would like to enjoy some relaxing treatments before or after their celebrations, and it’s uniquely situated close to the sea and harbour, whilst being set within it’s own large countryside estate.
