Heart Of England wedding venues
The Heart of England refers to the Midlands and includes Worcestershire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, the West Midlands and South Gloucestershire. It is home to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare, and the Black Country often called the ‘Cradle of the Industrial Revolution.’ Its attractions range from pretty Tudor cottages to imposing castles, industrial museums, picturesque canals, vibrant modern cities to sleepy hamlets. The region has been the location for a number of films. ‘Atonement’ used Stokesay Court in Shropshire whilst ‘The Libertine’ was shot at Charlecote House in Warwickshire. Worcestershire’s romantic Severn Valley Railway was used in ‘The 39 Steps’ and its steam trains still carry passengers today.
The Heart of England offers an enormous range of wedding reception venues. For something a bit more unusual you could choose from racecourses, botanical gardens or even a motor museum. Hotels range from quaint historic bed-and-breakfasts for the smaller wedding party to luxury 5-star hotels suitable for holding large events.
