Isle Of Wight wedding venues
The Isle of Wight is in the county of Hampshire and lies just off the coast of Southern England. It is famous for its varied unspoilt landscape, sandy beaches and dramatic coastlines. A popular holiday resort since Victorian times, the Isle of Wight was much favoured by Queen Victoria. She spent many happy summers there at her home, Osborne House, which is located in East Cowes.
There is something romantic about islands and the Isle of Wight’s warm climate and sensational scenery make it ideal for romantic alfresco dining or romantic weddings. The Isle of Wight has many hotels that are either licensed to hold weddings or civil ceremonies and host wedding receptions. Many of these stand in their own grounds and have stunning views. Guests can party in the grounds or in some cases on private beaches. Other possible venues are a moored up ship or golf clubhouses.
The Isle of Wight can easily be reached by ferry or catamaran from Portsmouth, Lymington or Southampton.
