Wedding venues in Isle of Wight (3)

The Isle of Wight, across the Solent from the Hampshire coast is where Queen Victoria's much-loved summer residence and final home was. So if you like the thought of spending your wedding day in a luxurious surrounding, where royalty have marked their territory, then choosing one of the wedding venues on the Isle of Wight should be a task fit for a princess.
This tranquil region with lovely scenery - high down, forest, cliffs and lovely sandy beaches - could be the wedding setting you've always dreamt about. Some of the wedding venues on the Isle of Wight are nicely unusual and come to think of it, some of them arenít even on the island at all. You could have the ceremony and reception on a boat sailing down the coast, in the Solent or English Channel. If a wedding at sea isnít your cup of tea, there are equally lovely but more conventional wedding locations like manor houses and hotels.
The bride and groom could choose a hillside ceremony in a gazebo or one in a function room with a sea view. As for the reception, it could take place in a spacious marquee on a stately lawn or in a restaurant by the beach. Needless to say, the venues will offer some very competitive wedding packages and all sorts of options on catering, drinks packages and all those little, wedding extra.
There are many towns on the island that are worth exploring before settling on your perfect wedding venue. Beautiful Cowes, of regatta fame, is where Queen Victoria's stunning house is located but there are also venues in towns like Ryde and Ventnor or you may even find something close to the Needles. So, whether you're after a fairy-tale wedding or a no fuss, seaside venue, the Isle of Wight has everything covered, so why not sit back, grab a coffee and do a bit of venue searching?
