Our first wedding venue is our very impressive Anthony Hopkins Centre. The building is stunning as it is the original Cardiff Castle stables building with an historic open-air courtyard. Two very elegant rooms, licensed for ceremonies, are housed in this centre & one seating up to 85 guests and one suitable for smaller and more intimate ceremonies for up to 60 guests. The centre is situated at the end of an extremely impressive tree-lined avenue for you and your guests to arrive from within Bute Park with Cardiff Castle in view. This entrance can incorporate your ideas for arrival ranging from traditional wedding cars, horses and carts, walking or a tandem! The park is situated on the river which runs down to Cardiff Bay, so it is even possible to have a water-taxi bringing you and your guests to and from your wedding. Our other venues include a world-class concert hall and theatre for a unique wedding ceremony with a dramatic difference. Both can accommodate larger ceremonies with up to 200 guests followed by a truly wonderful drinks reception and wedding breakfast in our stunning contemporary glass-walled atrium and open-air terrace, also overlooking the Grade I listed Bute Park. You can choose from a variety of options for your ceremony and reception, for weddings in the warmer months take advantage of our grounds and say your 'I do's' surrounded by wild flowers under our arbour, play field games amongst our vines or choose one of our relaxed fire pit menus and dine in the courtyard. If you are planning a winter wedding the cosy threshing barn is ideal for both the ceremony and meal, with two floors you have the luxury of ample seating upstairs for those who prefer a natter and plenty of space downstairs next to the bar and dancefloor for those who want to party. From fine dining to BBQ cook-outs our talented kitchen team have your wedding catering covered. We can create bespoke menus to personalise your event or let us take the effort out of organising and choose one of our set menus which feature the best seasonal and local produce hand-picked by our head chef. Our menus have been designed to cater to most tastes (hopefully!) but requests are also welcome and we are happy to swap things around, please just get in touch. To add something even more special we will happily pair up a wine flight to your chosen menu and can create personalised cocktails just for you. Cley next the Sea, Norfolk
Cley Windmill dates from the early 18th Century and is a well-known landmark on the north Norfolk coast. It commands breathtaking views over the salt marshes to Blakeney Point and the sea, while nestling comfortably by the old quay, and alongside the flint-walled cottages of the village. The windmill has a full wedding licence and can accommodate a maximum of 20 people in our sitting room, which is where the wedding ceremony takes place. Weddings are conducted by the Registrar from North Walsham and these take place at either 14.00h or 16.00h dependent upon whether or not you intend to take the entire accommodation at the windmill. We offer either just the ceremony itself (and of course with drinks, photographs), or you can book the entire windmill so that you, your friends and relatives can stay in this memorable and romantic venue. "I cannot thank you all enough for our wonderfully magical wedding. We knew our venue was amazing, but there is not a word for just how out of this world it actually was". Nikki Mayes Situated at the centre of the World Heritage City, the Roman Baths and Pump Room is without doubt one of the most delightful buildings in the country. Unique and steeped in history, it is the perfect setting for your romantic day. The venue is suitable for an intimate group up to much larger wedding parties. There are two options when using the Roman Baths and Pump Room for your wedding: either in the morning or in the evening. With its steaming waters and subtle torchlight, the Great Bath is a stunning venue for a civil ceremony at 8.30am and is perfect for both small groups and parties of up to 100 people. This could then be followed with a wedding breakfast in the elegant Georgian Pump Room. If you wanted to continue your celebrations, you could hire the Kingston Room or Drawing Room, which are suitable for up to 50 people, or for larger numbers, you could use a room at the Guildhall or Assembly Rooms. A Sunset Wedding is an enchanting and atmospheric evening, with friends and family gathered on the Roman paving around the waters of the Great Bath. Beyond the classical statues on the Terrace above, Bath Abbey will be illuminated, and there will be steam, flickering torchlight and Champagne - a recipe for a magical evening. This option suits couples who have 40 guests or more, who would like the option of following their ceremony with a reception. After your 7.30pm ceremony around the Great Bath, you can choose to continue your celebrations in either the maginficent Pump Room or the Terrace and Reception Hall. Alternatively, in the evening you can celebrate with a drinks reception around the Great Bath from 7pm followed by dinner and dancing in the Pump Room. • Roman Baths available at 8.30am for a ceremony all year round, from 7.30pm for a ceremony & reception from September to June, from 7pm for a reception September to June • Pump Room available from 8pm all year round TERRACE AND RECEPTION HALL The Terrace is a more intimate alternative to the Pump Room and can accommodate up to 80 guests for dinner overlooking the Great Bath. The adjoining Reception Hall can also be hired and is ideal for dancing following your meal.
