Nestled on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors is Danby Castle, a historical and unique award winning venue steeped in history.
We consider all weddings and receptions to be as individual as each bride and groom and because of this we tailor every day to your requirements. We will meet with you and discuss your ideal day, themes, music and catering and then assist you to achieve your dream day. Danby Castle is such a versatile venue, providing a wide range of spaces which allow you to customise your day.
Our Vintage Tea Party Packages are really popular - hop over to our website to have a look at what it contains.
We hold wedding ceremonies in the Court Room, Threshing Barn and Wheelhouse. We have also held a number of humanist weddings outside on the lawns, in the ruins and in the Court Room.
The marquee which is included in the venue hire is nestled into the courtyard and opens into the Wheelhouse and Threshing Barn.
It is very difficult to show off the venue via photos - so please do come and see us and chat about what we can do to make your wedding day exactly as you want it.
Type of Cuisine:
From Traditional 3 course to Vintage Tea Parties. We offer exclusive use of the venue and so we can develop a menu which is bespoke to you.
From the A171 Guisborough to Whitby Road take the Danby turning. Cross over the moors and you will enter the village via a cattle grid. Continue through the village, passing the Duke of Wellington public house on your left, over a small bridge and then turn left before the fire station onto Brook Lane. Go past the Fox & Hounds pub on your left and continue for another mile and the castle and ruins will appear as you come around a bend.
