Built in 1913, the Country Club is full of character and charm and the joy of holding your wedding here is that nothing is set in stone. There are two floors for hire, providing a high degree of flexibility and allowing the wedding service and reception to be held under one roof. The first floor, which seats up to 150 guests, has a delightfully relaxed, friendly and unstuffy atmosphere and it becomes magical when decorated with flowers, fairy lights and candles. A large dance floor allows you to party into the early hours.

Additional details: The Country Club prides itself in its high standard of catering and its brigade of chefs are passionate about creating exquisite menus, tailored to suit any special requirements or indeed budget. Accommodation is available at the Thorpeness hotel or we are able to recommend our two sister hotels, The Brudenell Hotel and White Lion Hotel, which are both 3* properties situated on the seafront in Aldeburgh.
Directions by public transport: The closest station is Saxmundham, which is six miles away and only two hours from Liverpool Street. Taxis can be arranged from the station.
