Additional details: Scalford Hall has a wonderfully romantic history which is still evident today. The Hall was originally built at the turn of the Century as a weekend hunting lodge before being purchased by Colonel Colman (founder of Colman's Mustard) after World War II. Colman was regularly visited by Edward VIII and Mrs Wallis Simpson where they conducted much of their scandalous and publicised courtship.
