The Retreat Restaurant is ideal for the smaller function, it will accommodate up to 58 for a wedding breakfast or exclusive use. Use the adjoining bar area or our stunning courtyard (weather permitting) for your champagne reception & photographs. We have our own marquee which can be used to accommodate a larger wedding or party for up to 150 guests for a sit down meal.

Additional details: Coltsfoot Country Retreat set among rolling fields in the grounds of an old farmhouse, is the last word in modern luxury combined with typical English charm. Beams are visible in every roof space and on many of the walls. There are Spanish tiles on the floors, state-of-the-art bathrooms with unusual, traditional & modern fittings, leather settees, oak beds & luxurious throws.

It is more than a simple hotel & has already proved popular with guests from all over the world who are busy tipping off friends & colleagues back home. They enthuse about the setting at Bulls Green near Datchworth, love the rural location and the proximity to London. They also rave about the renovated barns and the carefully chosen furnishings. Not to mention the succulent cuisine produced from the finest of ingredients and delivered in our excellent Retreat restaurant.

Directions by car: Directions from the South

Take the A1(m) Northbound. Through the Hatfield Tunnel until you reach junction 6 turn off for Welwyn. Take the slip road up to the first roundabout then straight across and up to the second roundabout and go all the way round. Then follow the signs for the A1000. Go under the motorway until you come to another roundabout. Go straight over onto the A1000 keeping in the left lane. At the next mini � roundabout go straight across for B1000 Digswell. Continue on this road under the viaduct then take the first left into Harmer Green Lane. Continue on this road into New Road. Keep going on this road for 3/4 mile and you should pass a pond on your right hand side. Continue on for another 3/4 mile until you reach the crossroads at Burnham Green. Continue on another 1/2 mile until you come to a T junction (Bulls Green � not signposted). Turn left then immediately left into Coltsfoot Lane, (The Horns Public House will be on your right hand side). Continue down the lane for approximately 1/4 mile until you come to Coltsfoot Country Retreat on your right.

Come off of the A1(m) at junction 6 for Welwyn. Come up to the first roundabout and take the first turning left towards the A1000. Keep in the left lane and at the next mini � roundabout go straight across for B1000 Digswell. Continue on this road under the viaduct then take the first left into Harmer Green Lane.
