Landscape / Botanical Gardens Description: Slaugham Place is one of the most romantic and atmospheric venues in the south of England.
The dramatic, four-hundred-year-old, listed, Grade II* ruins of Slaugham Place, a great Elizabethan manor house, have been restored under the supervision of English Heritage.
The ancient ruins of Slaugham Place are surrounded by twelve acres of grounds including formal gardens, bridges, a river and wonderful old trees.
This spectacular Marquee venue is encircled by the original Elizabethan walls and moat and is floodlit at night. The great spaciousness, the peace and beauty of the setting, the nobility of the ruins and the sense of past glory are truly memorable.
For modern day requirements there is ample car parking and an area suitable as a helicopter landing space.
Slaugham Place is close to the village with its medieval church and well-known restaurant with rooms.
