Venue type: Barn / Oasthouse / Farm
Description: In the secluded setting of the Surrey Hills, 5 miles south of Guildford lies Gate Street Barn.
At the heart of a family estate, the barns were built in the traditional style using wood from oak trees lost on the farm in the 1987 hurricane! This is a truly magnificent place equally suitable for a winter or summer wedding.
Recently refurbished in 2007 the barn now features a beautiful Bride’s room, a meeting room, new ladies loos, a disabled loo with baby changing facility and second Green Oak Barn reception area known as The Granary. The open-fronted barn has a beautiful landscaped garden overlooking open countryside, a superb setting for a drinks reception and photographs.
This is a particularly pretty, rural venue with a friendly, helpful atmosphere. Licensed for Civil Ceremonies/Partnerships. Up to 130 guests can be seated for dining in the barn. By using a marquee extension an additional 20 guests can be accommodated. Maximum numbers for the evening are 180 guests.
