Country House Description: Set in one of the oldest deer parks in the country, Parklands is offered on an exclusive use basis. Licensed for civil ceremonies both indoors, with elegant reception and banqueting suites, and outdoors, under our beautiful gazebo, making Parklands an ideal location for your wedding. The surrounding grounds make a perfect setting for reception drinks and canapés. In the winter months guests are welcomed with a roaring log fire. A beautiful silk-lined pavilion adjoins the house and can accommodate up to 450 guests. Outside caterers are welcome for religious or cultural requirements. A gorgeous bridal pavilion is nestled in the deer park and comes with a prestigious car to transport you in style to the mansion. Other accommodation is available for guests, all within our grounds.

Directions by public transport: ■ By train. Newport is the nearest station, about 2 miles away from where a taxi will take about 5 minutes. The station is on the London (Liverpool Street) to Cambridge line. National Train enquiries: Tel. 08457 484950.
■ By air. We are about 15 minutes from Stansted airport
Directions by car: ■ By Car (appoaching via the M11). Exit the M11 at Junction 8 onto the slip road signed for the A120 Hertford and at the roundabout again follow the signs for the A120 Hertford. After a short distance you will arrive at another roundabout. Go straight across (still on the A120) and continue for about one mile to a further roundabout. Take the 3rd exit, signed B1383 Newport. Continue on this road for about 5 miles, passing through Stansted Mountfitchet and Ugley, to arrive at Quendon village. After you have left the village look out for, and turn left at, signs for Parklands. This will take you through large black gates and onto our driveway.
■ Other directions. We are located north of Bishop’s Stortford. If travelling on the A120, exit at the roundabout signposted B1383 Newport. Then take directions via Stansted Mountfitchet above.
