Barn / Oasthouse / Farm Description: Unlimited potential for all kinds of social functions and special events - from an idyllic wedding in this magic corner of Dorset to Medieval Banquets as well as anniversary and birthday parties and exhibitions. Stockbridge Farm Barn is situated four miles south of Sherborne, with its historic abbey. It is set in the glorious Dorset countryside famous for Thomas Hardy, on a small working farm. The Barn exudes atmosphere and has changed very little from its original state hundreds of years ago. A marquee can be added to the Barn if extra capacity is required.

Additional details: This is what Fiona Morris wrote in March 2007 "I urge anyone who does not want a typical hotel or marquee wedding reception to seriously consider Stockbridge Farm Barn. We held our wedding reception at the barn in March and were absolutely overwhelmed with how beautiful the barn looked when lit up at night, and how smoothly the event ran Our guests were similarly impressed and three couples have already lined up the barn for their own daughters' weddings."
Here is what a few other people have said about Stockbridge Farm; Nina Shaw-Porter described it is as "an amazing venue which impressed many of our wedding weary guests. Cherry Willoughby (the owner) is incredibly helpful and patient!". Carina and Nick Evans said Stockbridge is "a unique and one off venue for a unique and one off event. We adored the venue as it is so unique and just lent itself to our theme totally and the guests were blown away with the venue once it was decorated and ready to go."
