Historic Building Description: The Quayside Exchange in Sunderland is the ideal venue for your wedding or celebration event; there isn't a venue in the region that can rival the grandeur of its facilities, it really is a unique setting.
The Grand Room with spectacular views over the riverside can host a wedding reception for around 200 guests; whilst the Alexandra Suite and the Wearmouth Suite are ideal for a more intimate celebration or as a reception area for pre-dinner drinks.
The Quayside Exchange is licensed as a venue for civil marriages and can accommodate congregations from forty to two hundred guests.

Directions by car: From the North and the West use the A19. Take the A1231 into Sunderland. Go past the Alexandra Bridge along the B1289 which takes you past the Stadium Of Light and follow the City Centre signs. Go across the main Wearmouth Bridge stay in the left lane, turn left at the lights at the end of the bridge on the A1018 ring road, High Street East is left at the next roundabout. (Signposted Old Sunderland) The venue is a 200 yards on the left.
From the south go into Sunderland, pick up the A1018 ring road signposted for South Shields until you get to the Old Sunderland roundabout, and turn right.
