The beautiful medieval Guesten Hall provides a very special setting for your civil wedding/partnership ceremony, with picturesque views over the surrounding countryside. After the ceremony, the wedding party can enjoy a champagne reception on the south-facing terrace with its pretty plants and flowers. For an evening reception, guests can proceed to the thatched Barn, with its impressive raftered ceiling and the stunning effect created by candelabra decorated with ivy and flowers. Licensed bar: Yes Type of cuisine: The menu is up to you! Our Catering Team, will discuss your ideas with you and advise on the practicalities in relation to the number of guests you have invited. A wide range of menus are available, from a traditional Hog Roast cooked on a spit on the terrace, to a three or four-course formal meal. Accommodation: Accommodation at the Abbey is available for up to sixty guests. Bed and Breakfast starts from GBP 35 per person.

Additional details: The Barn has a well-stocked bar and sells a good selection of beers, wine, and spirits. This can be opened to suit your timetable.
There is plenty of room for dancing and the stage can accommodate a band or disco. The power supply can sustain standard entertainments and our resident electrician can be consulted.
Directions by public transport: The nearest train station is Saxmundham, 4 miles away.
Directions by car: An English Heritage site, Leiston Abbey is well-signposted and situated north of Leiston on the B1119.
