Stoneleigh Abbey Listed by Function Fixers
Stoneleigh Abbey Wedding Venue in Warwickshire: Click to view gallery
Venue type: Abbey / Priory
Description:
Stoneleigh Abbey sits in 690 acres of parkland and gardens with the River Avon flowing through. Great landscape architects such as Repton and Nessfield have influenced the design and form of the land and created a beautiful backdrop for leisure and sport.

Stoneleigh Abbey is a beautiful wedding venue. The estate is very large, with stunning buildings and grounds in which almost anything can be arranged. Its rooms can cater for weddings from fifty to three hundred and fifty, and larger numbers can be accommodated in marquees in the grounds of the Abbey and on the banks of the River Avon. The Abbey has a chapel for Christian religious services and seven other state rooms licensed for civil ceremonies.

Our approach is to be as flexible as possible, so we don’t really have standard packages. Instead we would prefer to show you the estate, get a detailed understanding of what you would like and then to put together a bespoke wedding for you. Please tell us about everything that you want for your wedding day; if it’s at all possible, then our answer will be yes.

Additional details:
The Saloon is one of the great interiors of Georgian England. It is decorated with magnificent Rococo plasterwork which adorns the walls and ceiling and depicts the Greek myth of the Labours of Hercules, culminating in the wonderful ceiling plaque of Hercules ascending to Mount Olympus.

The Saloon is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 100 people and can seat the same number for dining. It is 9m wide by 14.2m long, with doors that open onto the impressive stone steps and the Terrace.

Overlooking the River Avon is the Abbey’s magnificent Orangery, a beautiful building that is used as the cafe when the grounds are open to the public.

The Orangery is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 120 people and can seat the same number for dining. It is a popular choice for lunch or for drinks receptions when guests might also wander in the beautiful gardens. It is 6m wide by 19.5m long.

The gardens are suitable for games and other outside events, including croquet for instance.

The Gothic Revival style Banqueting Hall is a unique area with a wonderful atmosphere that has to be seen to be appreciated. It has been completely refurbished and fully designed to accommodate weddings and large events. The Banqueting Hall
has its own rest rooms, kitchens and service areas. It has a particularly impressive wooden tie-beam roof.

The banqueting hall is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 400 and can seat 350 to dine. It is 12m wide by 33m long, with a minstrels gallery that can be used for lighting and sound equipment and for photography. The hall can be extended through the use of marquees to seat much larger numbers too. The adjacent courtyard can also be
used as part of a function.
