Since buying the Rivenhall Hotel in 2005, Greenwoods Estates has completed major refurbishments to the Reception, Lounge, Restaurant, Banqueting suites, Fitness Centre and Conference rooms, making The Rivenhall Hotel one of the most exclusive venues in Essex. Our facilities now include: a modern bar and lounge area; the original oak beamed Wildberry Restaurant; 55 en-suite bedrooms; 7 conference rooms including 2 beautiful banqueting suites and our modern Hi-Life Fitness Centre.
The Rivenhall Hotel offers an impressive yet affordable venue and a level of service that will guarantee the smooth running of your special day, making it a most memorable occasion. With various rooms ranging from traditional oak beamed splendour to our light and modern event suite, we can accommodate all tastes and requirements. We are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and can accommodate up to 100 guests for the wedding breakfast and 150 for an evening buffet reception in our beautiful Courtyard Suite. Alternatively, for smaller weddings our traditional oak beamed Lincoln Suite can accommodate up to 40 guests for a sit down meal or 60 guests for an evening reception. Directions by car: The Rivenhall Hotel is located at the heart of Essex, just off the busy A12 trunk road midway between Chelmsford and Colchester where it by-passes the small town of Witham.
Its strategic location means that the hotel is just a 20 minute drive to the M25 and 25 minutes from Stansted Airport. There are fast and frequent rail services to London's Liverpool Street Station and the hotel has easy links to the Channel Ports and Haven Ports.
From Chelmsford Proceed on the A12 Northbound. Pass two signs for Witham, take the next exit signposted for Silver End/ Great Braxted which is immediately after the Fox Inn. Turn right at the 'T' junction, go under the bridge and take the first right and the hotel is on your right.
From the M25 Exit at Junction 28 and follow the signs for Chelmsford. Proceed on the A12 Northbound.
