Venue type: Manor House Description: Set within the grounds of the 15th century Manor House of Hooke Court the Aelfric Hall is a stunning new contemporary function venue located in the heart of rural West Dorset. Hooke Court is also licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies. The Aelfric Hall is the perfect blend of contemporary and traditional with its stylish interior and historic setting. It is ideal for parties up to 120 but a marquee can also be added onto the building to give a much larger capacity. The Manor House is also available for private parties and weddings and is perfect for smaller, more intimate functions. The license for civil ceremonies covers a number of locations at Hooke Court, creating the perfect ceremony room for groups from 20 - 200. Smaller parties can enjoy a ceremony in front of the fire in the Paulet Room whilst larger groups might prefer the medieval atmosphere of the Winchester Hall or the glamour of the Aefric Hall.
