Directions by public transport: Nearest train stations Northallerton, Thirsk and Darlington.
Directions by car: Heading north on the A1, from Leeds and York, take the B6267 signposted to Masham. Follow the signs into the centre of the town, and then continue past the market square. Turn right onto Swinton Terrace and follow the road past the golf course and up the hill to the gatehouse which will be on your right.
