Berkeley Castle is available for weddings, offering a unique and historic venue for your special day.

The Great Hall, where your reception would be held, has been used for feasting since the 12th Century and many English kings and queens have sat at the high table here over the years - what better recommendation for a venue!

In summer the terraced gardens � planted for scent as well as for beauty, and with views over the rolling countryside of the Berkeley Estate� are available for reception drinks.

Guests will have the freedom of the gardens and photographs can be taken here too.

In the winter months, the elegant Long Drawing Room is the perfect spot for drinks by a roaring fire. The Castle is available throughout the year, subject to other events and bookings.

Additional details:
Short guided tours of the Castle are available for those guests who may be interested in the Castle and its history � we find most guests are delighted to have the opportunity to explore this ancient building. Tours must be pre-arranged with us in advance.

We can also advise on local florists, horse-drawn carriages, musicians (perhaps you might like to be piped in to dinner?). Just ask and we will do our best to make your day extra special!

Directions by public transport:
From London Paddington, take the train to Bristol Temple Meads (one train per hour) or Bristol Parkway (two trains per hour) and then take a 35 minute taxi to Berkeley Castle.

Directions by car:
From Bristol / London
Take the M4 and exit at Junction 20.
Take the M5 north to Junction 14. Head north on the A38 following signs to Berkeley and then brown signs to Berkeley Castle.

From the North
From M5 North: exit at Junction 13. Follow signs to Berkeley, then brown signs to Berkeley Castle (about 1/2 mile beyond the Prince of Wales pub).
