Our beautiful 300-year-old mansion and estate can be exclusively yours for you and your guests on your special day.

Greet your guests for your marquee wedding reception in our stylish entrance hall and guide them through to our wedgewood blue boardroom for a glass of champagne or two. The boardroom opens out directly onto our south-facing back lawn and moat which is the ideal setting for marquees accommodating up to 400 guests.

We have balconies both outside and inside which are suitable for string quartets or jazz bands to create a romantic atmosphere and ambience for your reception.

Brickendonbury Conference Centre allows you the flexibility to create your perfect day where you have complete control over the choice of marquee and all catering arrangements. It's your choice to use who you want to cater and entertain your guests.

As of Monday 4th August 2008, we have new in house catering arrangements. Please contact us for more information as we are now able to offer a package price for the venue, catering and bar (if required).


Directions by public transport:
By Rail:
Intercity or West Anglian & Great Northern Railway
Travelling from the north change at Stevenage for Hertford North.

From London
Trains start from Moorgate (weekdays), Kings Cross (weekends) for Hertford North. Finsbury Park is on both routes and is therefore a reliable joining point and provides interchange between the Underground and Main line. Alternatively service runs from Liverpool St. for Hertford East.

From Cambridge
Change at Broxboume for Hertford East.

From the Airports:
Stansted
Train to Broxbourne. Train from Broxbourne Main line train to Hertford East, or Greenline bus 724 to Hertford.

Gatwick
Main line train to London Victoria. Victoria line Underground to Finsbury Park. Main line railway to Hertford North.

Heathrow
Underground Piccadilly Line to Finsbury. Change to Main Line railway to Hertford North, or Greenline bus 724 to Hertford.


Directions by car:
From the A1(M)
Leave the A1 junction 4 on to A414 to Hertford. At the end of a long stretch of dual carriageway, turn right at roundabout following the sign to Hertingfordbury. After about ¼ mile fork left into St Mary’s Lane and follow to the end. At T junction turn left into Lower Hatfield Road. Pass under railway viaduct and turn right opposite 'Harts Horns' public house (PH) into Brickendon Lane and continue for about a mile. Look for sign on left hand side ‘Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre’, turn left into the drive and up into the estate, proceed through the barrier, past buildings on left hand side. Turn right at sign marked ‘visitors car parking & reception’, this will bring you to the front entrance of the mansion/conference centre

From the M1
Leave M1 at junction 7 (M10 turn off). Take M10 then A414 to Hatfield, and towards Hertford, follow directions from the A1 (M). See above.

From Cambridge via M11
Leave M11 at junction 8 on A120. Travel west to Puckeridge and take A10 south to Hertford. Leave A10 on A414 to Hertford. In Hertford turn left into B158, past County Hall and turn left at the mini roundabout at the bottom of the hill. Turn left opposite the 'Harts Horns' public house (PH) into Brickendon Lane and continue for about a mile. Look for sign on left hand side ‘Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre’, turn left into the drive and up into the estate, proceed through barrier, past buildings on left hand side. Turn right at sign marked ‘visitors car parking & reception’, this will bring you to the front entrance of the mansion/conference centre

From the South East via M25
Leave M25 at junction 25 (A10 turn off). Travel north and leave A10 onto A414 to Hertford. In Hertford turn left into B158, pass County Hall and turn left at the mini roundabout at the bottom of the hill. Turn left opposite the 'Harts Horns' public house into Brickendon Lane and continue for about a mile. From the West via M4, M40
Join M25 & continue clockwise to the A1(M), (junction 23). Continue as in 'from the A1 (M)'. See top.
