Venue type: Hall
Description: Aldborough Hall is an intimate Norfolk country house, offering a rare combination of the grand and the intimate. Being a private home, rather than a public location such as a hotel, we guarantee that there will be no other guests present during your wedding celebrations.
Here at Aldborough Hall we don't believe in set packages. We believe in giving you the choice to do what you want for your unique celebration and that is why we only have one wedding reception per weekend. Aldborough Hall is exclusively yours to enjoy with your family and friends and we are here to provide the uniquely intimate wedding that suits you. Aldborough Hall is licensed for wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships.
You can either have a more intimate, smaller wedding party of up to 35 in the Hall or for parties of up to 80 you can have a marquee on the front lawn while still having the benefit of the Hall to stay in before and after your celebration.
Some of your guests can arrive on Friday night and leave on Sunday, making your wedding a relaxed weekend stay in elegant surroundings.
From midweek to a full traditional weekend wedding receptions each event at Aldborough Hall is a bespoke affair, which is tailored solely to you.

Directions by car: We are best approached on the A140 Norwich to Cromer road. Heading north from Norwich, after the Aylsham roundabout head north for about 5 miles and after a Pace garage on your right, a little further on you will see a sign indicating 'byway to Aldborough' to turn left.
If travelling south from Cromer, after the small double roundabout at Roughton head down the A140 for about a mile or so and turn right after the lay-by, looking out for the sign 'byway to Aldborough'.
Follow this road for about a mile and look for a local landmark, the round tower of All Saints church, you will pass this on your left.
A little further on you will go down a steep hill and enter the village of Aldborough, passing a small group of houses on the right and a large lawned area. Stay on this road and now follow the sign for Matlaske, Aldborough Hall is not located in the village so do not worry, stay on this road.
You will pass Aldborough Church on your left, follow this road for about another mile where the road opens out to open fields.
A little further on the road enters a wooded area, after a sharp bend to the right follow the road a little further where you will see, on the right, the entrance to the private driveway to Aldborough Hall. A word of advice, you may want to turn any sat nav's off as they tend to take you down all sorts of minor roads rather than from the A140 which in our opinion is the easiest way to us.
