Five acres of beautiful informally landscaped water gardens form the perfect backdrop to the delightful Mill. We provide the perfect venue for weddings and special celebrations. Individually designed cosy, en-suite rooms in The Old Mill are furnished with everything you will need to ensure your stay is pleasant and relaxed. Unwind on a pretty window seat, or stroll among swans and wildfowl in the four-acre gardens, relax in the quaint bar after your evening meal, retire to your bedroom, and wake up to a generous full English or Continental breakfast.
Our Standard Rooms, all en-suite are decorated in a traditional country style, some with window seats with views down to the stream.
The Superior Rooms have recently been converted from the original Mill. On the original drying floor, the rooms contain low beams with the Miller’s names carved in them.
The Milling Floor has one twin room as well as the Crown Wheel Suite, which consists of a large lounge with the original workings set behind glass, which gently turn, (the mill is stopped before bedtime). A separate en-suite bedroom complete with four-poster bed.
These rooms are decorated in a contemporary style complete with plasma TV’s, and Internet connections.

Additional details: Civil Wedding Ceremonies take place in the romantic candlelit Corn Loft or on the banks of the lake in the delightful open Gazebo.
Small Wedding Breakfasts up to 40 are held in the Wheel Room or Coach Room while larger parties up to 110 guests celebrate in the Lakeside Suite.
The Lakeside Suite seats 80 guests for a sit down reception with an additional 40 guests enjoying the adjoining Marquee.
For the evening celebrations, the Lakeside Suite has capacity for 200 guests with panoramic views of the floodlit gardens and lake.
When it is time to retire, the quaint Old Mill is home to our 9 individually designed bedrooms or the luxurious Crown Wheel Suite.
There is no need to co-ordinate separate wedding and reception venues, caterers, transport, and accommodation.

Directions by car: Centrally located in Somerset on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, you will find us 2 miles from Chard. By Road
From Taunton (M5) at Junction 25, take the left hand turn (A358) to Chard, after approximately 10 miles you will reach a major roundabout make sure you go all the way round to the right continuing to Chard on the (A358) * Pass through the village of Donyatt, you will shortly enter a 40 mile zone, Hornsbury Mill is situated immediately after a bend on the right hand side.
If travelling from London/Yeovil direction on the A303 you will reach the major roundabout on the Ilminster by-pass, take the exit for Chard on the A358 continue your journey as above *
