Historic Building Description: Full of character and charm, The Orangery Suite is a stunning venue for intimate and personal wedding ceremonies and receptions.
With exclusive use of the beautifully landscaped walled garden, The Orangery is an idyllic setting for a couple's special day.
The light and airy room can accommodate up to 70 guests for the ceremony in beautiful surroundings. Alternatively, a marquee for up to 80 guests, is included if you wish to have the reception on the lawn.
The Orangery Suite is licensed to perform marriages and civil partnership ceremonies.
After the ceremony, guests can make their way out onto the terrace for a drinks reception whilst the newly married couple have photographs taken in the grounds.
For the wedding reception, a wide variety of catering is available, ranging from an informal buffet, barbecue, hog roast or cream tea, to the more traditional wedding breakfast.
Whilst background music is welcome, the tranquil location means that discos are not suitable for The Orangery Suite. However, many of our wedding parties are happy to move on to other nearby venues for their evening disco.
Why not make use of our extensive activities within the walled garden, such as croquet, pétanque, crazy golf, beach volleyball, table tennis, giant chess and badminton? For a real games party theme we can also provide outdoor table football, a giant tumble tower and giant connect four.
The historic setting and spacious grounds make The Orangery the perfect venue for a relaxed and stylish day to remember.

Directions by car: The Orangery Suite is located on Merley House Lane, directly off the Merley Roundabout (A31 Wimborne bypass and A349 Poole junction).
Follow the road signs to Merley Court Touring Park. On Merley House Lane, take the left turning directly after the entrance to Merley Court Touring Park. Follow the signs to The Orangery Suite.
