Country House Description: When you are planning that stunning once in a lifetime event, you will want a setting that is not just a blank backdrop to the flowers and champagne, but an exquisitely dressed stage that will make your big day unforgettable. Your venue should not shrink into the background, but play a major role at your party. It should offer character, history and beauty. It should put your guests at their ease, and encourage them to stroll, mingle and talk. It should be the starting point for beautiful memories that will linger long after everyone has departed. For that, you need an exceptional location Crow Hill.
Crow Hill dates back some 200 years and was a former mill owner's country house. Set on the edge of the National Trust Marsden Moor Estate, with the most dramatic and breathtaking Yorkshire moorland scenery around the whole house. Legendary house guests at Crow Hill include General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army and the composer Vaughan Williams. Crow Hill, a quintessential English country house with 6 bedrooms, 3 double, 2 twin and 1 single & the Tower Suite, Crow Hill sleeps 13 guests. The elegant Drawing Room with open fire, period Conservatory, The Red Dining Room and kitchen all have period features to die for! Gardens and private grounds, including a Croquet Lawn for marquees.
A wedding at Crow Hill is a unique experience. The formal gardens and fine views across the Pennines and the National Trust Marsden Moor ensure the wedding photography will provide the most beautiful and dramatic pictures of your big day. Whatever the season we can provide that exclusive setting at an affordable price.
Crow Hill is not a hotel. Being a private residence, and reserved solely for your exclusive use, enables you to never worry about mingling with guests other than your own party. Furthermore, we never host more than one wedding per weekend or at any other time and if you also book The Cottage and The Lodge, 25 wedding guests in total can stay on the estate and feel completely at home.
Weddings at Crow Hill have exclusive use of the house and grounds for 1. 2 or 3 days, for example, arriving on Friday and departing on the Monday, creating a relaxed and memorable experience, rather than a few hours in an anonymous hotel environment.
