Hotel Description: The character and romantic charm of this Jacobean Hall combined with the beautiful gardens, impressive accommodation, stunning new spa and picturesque golf course make it an ideal place for wedding celebrations. As an independent family owned business, Headlam Hall has a core philosophy of offering individual and personal service that is re-enforced by the policy to only host one wedding a day. The venue lends itself very well to both smaller, intimate weddings and larger, lavish occasions. The elegant Drawing Room can accommodate up to fifty guests and opens onto the stepped terrace overlooking the grand main lawn. The impressive Edwardian Suite accommodates up to one hundred and fifty guests and is a unique room characterised by its huge arched glass ceiling which gives a bright garden feeling to afternoon receptions. Civil ceremonies can also be held in both rooms.
The food at any reception is of the utmost importance and at Headlam the quality remains the same whether dining for two in the restaurant or a full house in the Edwardian Suite. The experienced team of chefs have received numerous awards including an AA rosette, Taste Durham highest quality assured and local champion awards.
