Additional details: Old Selden Farm is set in over fifty acres of woods and surrounding fields in an area of outstanding natural beauty within the South Downs National Park. As you approach the farm down a quiet country lane, you will be greeted with a selection of Sussex flint and brick out houses as well as the main farmhouse.
Once leaving the lane you enter through an iron gate entrance surrounded on both sides with further flint buildings, which then takes you past the main farmhouse straight to the front entrance of the barn.
To the side of the barn there is a walled garden, which is a natural photographic setting to capture those memorable images of your special day. This could also be used for a drink reception.
As soon as you enter the barn, the "Wow Factor" hits you. All along one side are windows overlooking the rolling fields and woodland where the deer roam freely.
Large vintage style chandeliers hang above the Pleated Ivory linings that drape the barn. The interior barn can comfortably seat seventy without it feeling to big or can be redesigned with more tables and chairs to a maximum of 230. All tables and chairs in the barn are supplied within the venue price.
The raised dance floor area together with the wooden back and front bar (salvaged out of a Victorian chemist shop) and relaxed seating area all help to produce an ambience that will be remembered after the day.
With controllable lighting and up lighters around the walls and on the pillars the mood and atmosphere of the room can be changed as the day turns into the evening.
