Directions by public transport: The nearest train station to the Centre is Telford Central. Lilleshall National Sports Centre is then a 15 minute taxi ride from the station.
Directions by car: Approach the main gates (known as the Golden Gates) which are situated on Pave Lane (the old A41, Wolverhampton – Whitchurch Road) about 1.5 miles South of Newport. The Centre is signposted from the new A41 Newport-by-pass. The Centre is most easily reached as follows:
From the South - Take the M6 Junction 10A (M54). Proceed along the M54 to Junction 3. Take the A41 North, signposted Whitchurch and Newport. Continue north along the A41 until the beginning of the A41 Newport-by-pass. The National Sports Centre is signposted left off this road South of Newport. Proceed along this road for about 1 mile. The Centre entrance is signposted left opposite Rubens Nursing Home.
From the North - Take the M6 to Junction 15. Take the A519 signposted Eccleshall, then the A518 to Newport. From Newport follow signs for National Sports Centre. Drive for approximately 1.5 miles and the National Sports centre is signposted off this road.
